PRECISION LIVESTOCK FARMING

The precision livestock farming facilities are unique in that it can be used to offer feed “à la carte” to growing pigs and to gestating and lactation sows.

The facility for growing pigs houses 90 pigs in a single unit. Different monitoring systems that allow the individual recording of body weight, feed intake (and feed intake patterns), and water consumption are available. This information is then used to provide up to four diets separately or in combination to each pig. For gestating and lactating sows, a system is available to distribute (a combination of) two diets to each sow
